I'm looking for a game from my childhood, all I have are memories, can anyone help me? This game seems to be an 80% match in likeness, except the one I remember had a ton more character avatars to choose from, I don't think it had a "3D" window, but more of a top down view for most of it, and there was an actual loot window after battles with little icons for the loot.
I know it's vague. It was far and beyond one of my favorite time sinks as a kid, I just have zero clue what game it was. I believe we had an old Apple computer, and it was likely in the 90's.
Please help!

Appears to run fine but haven't figured out how the saves work. I can save things while playing but after I leave it reverts to a default save. Not sure if there's a way to tell it to save external to the browser environment and import it. Additionally a lot of the dialogue refers you to the journal so you won't be able to read it without the
